Synopsis As part of the RHTP's Workforce for Wellness Initiative, the Rural Provider Recruitment, Retention, and Capacity Fund will strengthen the rural health care workforce by supporting targeted recruitment and retention incentives, workforce infrastructure, and innovative staffing solutions across physical, behavioral, and maternal health services. The program will support innovative workforce solutions for local rural communities, improving efforts for recruiting, training, and retaining critical health care providers that target increasing access to care improving health outcomes for rural residents.
Eligible applicants include rural Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agencies, Critical Access Hospitals, Rural Health Clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), tribal health organizations, and community-based organizations serving rural populations as defined by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
