Summary

HEALTHWORKS (KHA Foundation Inc.) seeks a vendor to provide centralized revenue cycle expertise — claims recovery, denial/appeal support, and reimbursement optimization — for rural Kansas hospitals, part of the Revenue Technical Support Organization (RTSO) initiative under Kansas's RHTP plan.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are firms and organizations with demonstrated experience in revenue cycle management, legal, medical coding, billing, and reimbursement support for hospitals. Preference is given to vendors with experience serving rural or critical access hospitals. Applicants must be able to meet federal and state procurement, reporting, and contracting requirements (including 2 CFR 200, 2 CFR 300, FAR, and relevant RHTP provisions).

Requirements Checklist

• Applicants must submit a detailed proposal including: 1) firm background, experience, and qualifications; 2) description of experience with rural hospitals; 3) pricing model for two periods: September 1, 2026–September 30, 2027 and October 1, 2027–October 31, 2027, plus annual cost estimates through 2030; 4) sustainability plan; 5) FEIN; 6) approach to project deliverables including centralized inquiry/tracking system, standardized templates, quarterly reports, technical assistance, and stakeholder education; 7) demonstrated ability to meet performance measures, including successful claim denial recovery, dollars recovered, reduction in processing time, and number of engagements. Proposals must be submitted electronically by deadline.
