Missouri DHSS Rural Medical Student Clerkships Funding Opportunity

Summary

Missouri DHSS is offering funding to support the development of new or expansion of existing medical student clerkship programs in rural health facilities. Eligible organizations must either establish a new medical school clerkship commitment serving at least three students annually or expand an existing clerkship program by two additional students each year. At least half of all clerkship rotation time must occur in Missouri’s ToRCH Care counties, defined as all Missouri counties except Boone, Cass, Clay, Greene, Jackson, Jefferson, Platte, St. Charles, St. Louis County, and St. Louis City. Applicants may receive up to $115,000 per contract, with the opportunity for two renewals. Any new partnership with a medical school must be operational no later than August 2027.
