Synopsis As part of the RHTP’s Workforce for Wellness Initiative, the Rural Provider Recruitment, Retention, and Capacity Fund will strengthen the rural health care workforce by supporting targeted recruitment and retention incentives, workforce infrastructure, and innovative staffing solutions across physical, behavioral, and maternal health services. The program will support innovative workforce solutions for local rural communities, improving efforts for recruiting, training, and retaining critical health care providers that target increasing access to care improving health outcomes for rural residents.
Eligible applicants include rural hospitals, federally qualified health centers, rural health clinics, behavioral health agencies, and other community-based providers operating in rural Michigan counties, as defined by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
