Two application windows in 2026 supported projects to increase the efficiency of local agency operations under the Maryland Rural Health Transformation Program's Pillar 2 (Promote Sustainable Access and Innovative Care). The RHTP is funded with federal support to strengthen and modernize healthcare in Maryland’s 18 state-designated rural areas. Subawards are available through competitive application, prioritizing projects with clear potential impact on sustainable health care access, innovation, and local operational efficiency. The RHTP seeks to advance CMS principles of choice and competition, with all funds 100% provided by CMS/HHS through 2025.
