Idaho RHTP Healthcare Infrastructure Support (HIS)

Summary

The Idaho RHTP Healthcare Infrastructure Support (HIS) subaward program provides up to $97,213,653 in funding to rural health providers, clinics, facilities, tribal organizations, and related entities in Idaho's rural and frontier areas to address critical infrastructure, access, IT, workforce, and quality gaps in healthcare. Supported by CMS, eligible activities include technology upgrades, EHR integration or replacement (subject to specific limitations), equipment purchases, cybersecurity updates, minor renovations and alterations (but not new construction or major retrofits), procurement or retrofitting of vehicles for mobile health and patient transport, and practice transformation initiatives. No cost share or match is required. Applications undergo a two-stage process involving assessment of community needs and project impact. Major priorities include telehealth, EHR or digital health upgrades, chronic and behavioral health, maternal/child health, mobile healthcare, and facility safety/readiness. Reporting, collaboration, and compliance with federal grant requirements (2 CFR 200) are required.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are Idaho rural and frontier healthcare providers, clinics, hospitals, tribal organizations, and relevant entities serving rural Idahoans. Applicants must have active SAM.gov registration, a valid UEI number, no active federal exclusions, current single audit (if applicable), demonstrated public health experience, and organizational capacity to comply with federal grant requirements.
