Nevada Medicaid's Rural Reentry FLEX RFA offers $5,775,316.97 in Rural Health Transformation funding to help rural Nevada correctional and detention facilities and their partners prepare to deliver Medicaid reentry services. It funds equipment and care capacity: clinical, diagnostic, treatment and telehealth equipment, clinical workstations, secure medication-management equipment, mobile care resources, approved minor patient-care facility improvements, and equipment replacement or upgrades. New construction, major expansion, demolition, cosmetic-only work and broadband infrastructure are not allowed. Released October 29, 2026; questions due November 23; applications due December 15, 2026; anticipated award date January 13, 2027.
Nevada rural counties, rural correctional or detention facilities serving adults and/or youth, and organizations partnering with those facilities. County governments apply on behalf of their sheriff's department, jail, juvenile services department or other county-operated facility. "Rural" means a Nevada county, correctional facility or partner serving a rural jail or rural reentry population eligible under the Nevada Rural Health Transformation initiative; the applicant must name the rural county and facility that benefits. A non-rural lead applicant must show the benefit to eligible rural communities and provide rural partners' commitment letters when required. FLEX funds equipment and approved minor improvements; payment for clinical services reimbursable through insurance is not allowed. Reimbursement-based: no costs may be incurred before the subaward is executed; all Budget Period 1 work and spending must be complete by August 30, 2027. Indirect costs are not allowed; administrative costs are capped at 10% and must be itemized. The same cost cannot be paid by another funding source. UEI and state vendor number may be pending at application but are required before funding. Future-year funding is not guaranteed.
