The West Virginia Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) is seeking proposals from eligible entities to implement the Mountain State Care Force – Early Outreach & Exposure to Healthcare Careers program. The goal is to engage at least 10,000 high school students statewide in healthcare career pathways through supplemental outreach, student engagement activities, visits to healthcare facilities, and integration with state data systems to track outcomes. Funding is milestone- and performance-based, with a single grantee award of $1,500,000; all funds must be expended by July 31, 2027. Selected applicant must submit a revised line-item budget and narrative shortly after award, provide regular quarterly program reports, and ensure integration with school and healthcare facility partners. Submission is through the WV Oasis Vendor Self Service (VSS) portal. Questions must be submitted by May 5, 2026 to mike.sheets@wv.gov. The award period extends from notification date through July 31, 2027.
