GO-NORTH Rural Community Health Infrastructure Program (RCHIP)

Summary

the Rural Community Health Infrastructure Program (RCHIP), a competitive program funding rehabilitation of key rural health infrastructure: county-run nursing home renovations to reduce hospital discharge barriers, community mental health center and FQHC renovations, childcare capacity renovations to support rural healthcare workforce recruitment/retention, and renovations to house ambulances and expand EMS capacity. CDFA also provides technical assistance from application through project completion.

Eligibility

Eligible organizations include those with projects located in rural regions as defined by HRSA, or meeting the definition of a rural health facility under the CMS Rural Health Transformation Program. Non-profit organizations (such as critical access hospitals, county-run nursing homes, federally qualified health centers, community mental health centers, rural health clinics, and community-based organizations in rural NH) are prioritized.
