Coding Consultant Services – Rural Health Transformation Program (RIHCA-RHTP-RFP-002)

Summary

RIHCA pre-qualification RFP to build a pool of vetted coding-consultant vendor firms for RI's 8 community health centers' RHTP value-based-care coding efforts. Each CHC separately scopes and contracts with a pool vendor. No centrally-stated budget -- compensation is per-CHC, per-engagement. Firms (not individual consultants) with CHC/coding-credential/payer/EHR experience are eligible. Term through June 30, 2027, optional 1-year renewal.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are established firms (not individuals) with experience in CHC (community health center) medical coding, coding for value-based payment models, credentialed coding experience, relevant payer or EHR platform knowledge, and at least three years performing similar projects. Vendors must not be single-person consultancies and must be available to contract with multiple CHCs.

Requirements Checklist

• Respondents must submit a technical proposal detailing personnel qualifications, firm experience in CHC coding for value-based care, references from similar prior engagements, and documentation of relevant certifications/credentials. Proposals must also include cost structure and engagement models. Firms must be able to work with multiple EHR systems and contract flexibly with the eight participating health centers.
