Funds projects to expand access to cancer screening and early detection in rural Alabama. Supported activities include regional hubs, mobile screening units, technology-enabled services, and community education. Awards target rural populations and seek to improve health outcomes through earlier detection, provider network strengthening, and increased access to services.
Eligible applicants include hospitals, health systems, rural hospitals, rural health clinics, federally qualified health centers, and other healthcare or community organizations capable of implementing activities supporting improved access to cancer screening and related education. Applicants must have organizational capacity, a valid UEI, and an active SAM.gov registration throughout the award. Applicants do not have to be physically located in a rural area but must provide direct benefit to rural Alabama healthcare.
