This Request for Applications funds deployment or expansion of Mobile Stroke Units through the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services (CRS) program in Texas. $5,000,000 total is available across an anticipated 8 awards for a two-year project period. Funds support advanced, community-based mobile stroke emergency treatment, including evidence-based pre-hospital care and telemedicine for stroke, traumatic brain injury, or spinal cord injury.
Applicants must be Texas Level 1 stroke facilities, or operate in partnership with Level 1 stroke facilities, capable of deploying Mobile Stroke Units as outlined in RFA HHS0016736. See full eligibility criteria in RFA Section 2.3.
