Provider-to-Provider Specialty Consultations: Synchronous and Asynchronous Solutions - Specialty Telehealth Service Provider(s)

Summary

Provide scalable statewide provider-to-provider specialty consultation services that expand timely specialty access for primary care providers in rural Maine. The synchronous track will deliver, direct, real-time specialist recommendations; the asynchronous eConsult track will deliver timely documented recommendations, both strengthening clinical decisions and care coordination while reducing unnecessary referrals and delays. Solutions are deployed under Maine RHTP's digital health and telehealth innovation strategies, targeting rural populations and reducing distance as a barrier to specialty care. Services will complement wider efforts in acute care, chronic disease management, behavioral health, and partner site integration, funded by CMS/HHS.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include specialty telehealth service providers capable of supporting statewide provider-to-provider consultations within Maine's rural health transformation framework, including collaboration with Maine DHHS and partner sites.
