This notice covers the two points in Vendor Matchmaker where what you write leaves Rural Care Journey’s own systems. It applies once you take either action below; you won’t be asked again on this device.
When you run a match, the narrative you enter is sent to our AI provider (Azure OpenAI) to generate a text embedding used to score candidate vendors. The matched vendor names, websites, and match scores are shown back to you. Your narrative is not sent to any vendor through this matching step alone.
When you request a quote from a matched vendor, we email that vendor’s listed contacts directly with a summary of your narrative and your contact information so they can respond to you. This is different from matching — it puts what you’ve written in front of a specific outside company, not just our own systems.
We don’t sell your narrative or use it for anything beyond generating your matches and, if you request one, your quote. Our Privacy Policy governs how we handle your account information generally and is incorporated into this notice by reference.
Both matching and quote requests are optional — you can browse the vendor directory without using either. A quote request only goes out when you explicitly ask for one from a specific vendor.
