RHTP Awards

Once a state selects a recipient for an RHTP-funded program, Rural Care Journey tracks the award: who received it, how much, and the source document that confirms it. Every figure here is sourced and deduplicated — RCJ never estimates an amount a source document doesn't state, and never counts the same award twice.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as an RHTP award on this page?

A specific, named recipient and dollar amount confirmed from an official state or federal source document — a press release, award notice, or state procurement record. Duplicate reports of the same award, and amounts we could not confirm, are excluded from the totals on this page.

Why does the total only include some awards?

Not every award notice states a dollar amount, and RCJ does not estimate or infer a figure when one isn't published. The known total below is the sum of only the awards with a confirmed amount — it understates the true total by the value of any unconfirmed awards.

How is this different from an opportunity?

An opportunity (RFA, RFP, NOFO, grant) is a solicitation still open for applications. An award is the outcome — a specific organization that has already been selected to receive funding.
