# OHCA HIE & EHR Assistance (Year 2 Application)

The Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) will accept Year 2 applications from eligible rural healthcare providers for help with any combination of joining Oklahoma's statewide Health Information Exchange (HIE), purchasing an electronic health record (EHR) or upgrading existing EHR systems, through the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). Applications for year two open January 15, 2027, and close May 31, 2027. Applications are reviewed based on program eligibility, funding availability, provider need, implementation readiness and program priorities; submitting an application does not guarantee funding or approval.

## Eligibility

Eligible applicants include rural healthcare providers such as rural hospitals, clinics, and Medicaid-serving provider organizations. Applicants must demonstrate provider need, implementation readiness, and commitment to participate in Oklahoma’s statewide Health Information Exchange (HIE) and/or adopt, replace, or upgrade certified EHR systems as defined by the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP).

## Requirements

Applicants must submit an application indicating their interest in HIE assistance, EHR assistance, or both. Submitting an application does not guarantee funding or approval. Applications are evaluated based on program eligibility, funding availability, provider need, implementation readiness, and alignment with program priorities.
