North Dakota Health and Human Services (ND HHS), through the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP), is offering competitive funding for enhancements to existing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, including modules, interfaces, technology, and AI add-ons. The opportunity aims to strengthen service delivery, improve outcomes, and enhance cybersecurity for rural and tribal health providers. Applications must be submitted via Qualtrics by July 29, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. CT with implementation to be completed by September 30, 2027.
Applicants must serve rural or tribal North Dakota residents. Eligible rural organizations include: critical access hospitals, rural federally qualified health centers, rural hospital systems, non-federally operated Indian Health Service facilities, tribally run 638 health facilities, and long-term care facilities. Entities within or the cities of Grand Forks, Fargo, West Fargo, and Bismarck are considered urban and are not eligible. Successful applicants will not be eligible for future RHTP EMR replacement funding.
